Who we are?
Knuthenlund history started in 1729. It was established by County of Knuthenborg. In 1913 Knuthenlund was sold to dairyman J.P.H. Hansen. Fastforward to today, Susanne Hovmand-Simonsen in the owner of Knuthenlund and she represents the fourth generation at the location. Susanne’s husband, Jesper Hovmand-Simonsen, is a dairyman. He manages both the dairy and the other food production.
What we do?
Farm shop & cafe
Knuthenlund Estate is on of the largest organic farms in the country. We produce handmade cheese of sheep and cow’s milk and yoghurt. We only use traditional craft methods. You can taste different dairy products as well as original Danish breeds and Danish plant varierites. Furthermore, we recently started producing a new series of meat. They are from lamb, original Danish Red Cattle, original white Landrace and Danish black pig. We have a large modern farm shop with its own café and meeting and conference rooms.
